As a youngster I wanted to paint, but found I really possessed little innate talent for the brush and color. Many decades later when I took a class in bronze casting I found that three dimensions and metal were where my heart lay. Since then, the thrill of pouring liquid metal has expanded to encompass the joy of working with molten glass.
My work seldom consists of a single piece on a base, but often includes a variety of materials and puts the human figure in an environment. Found materials often start the process and sometimes lead me to places I would not have imaged. The work becomes the journey and the journey is the work.
While most of my work has consisted of relatively small pedestal sized work, I have recently started to explore putting the life sized and larger figures in an installation or in a natural setting. Please go to my web site to see more images of my work.
