“Contemplating my Muses:”

Gallery 25 members, Joy Johnson and Jerrie Peters will exhibit for the month of October.

Joy Johnson will exhibit two large mixed media installation pieces called “Journey Into Light” and “Birth of Life”. The “Journey Into Light” piece combines a multitude of colorfully painted wooden shapes of various sizes incorporating mixed media
adornment to be reassembled on site with a total running width of twenty feet, with a height of four feet and a depth of eight inches. Jerrie Peter’s body of work is inspired by “Homage to” paintings who have served as inspiration to her for over a long period of time. Various inspirations for this body of work are from Georgia O’Keeffe, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Matisse, Wayne Thiebaud and Keith Haring.
